Dr Mark Stonkus
Mark - Speaker / Mentor / Mental Confdence Mark founded MBX Training as means of connecting traditionally distinct components of human development. His experiences in various gyms, sports, schools, and counseling centers revealed the need for a multidimensional approach to assisting people of all ages in setting and attaining goals. Mark is a Certified Consultant from the Association of Applied Sports Psychology (CC-AASP), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts (LMHC), and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CSCS). A graduate of Boston College High School, Mark returned to his alma mater as a teacher, counselor, and coach after completing his undergraduate studies at Tufts University. While at BC High, Mark completed two Master degrees (Boston College and Fitchburg State University), and then established MBX Training while also completing his doctoral studies at Boston University and working in various clinical mental health settings as a therapist.

While at BU, Mark developed and statistically validated the Inventory of Mental Toughness Factors in Sport (IMTF-S), which is a unique measurement of mental toughness now being used by select sports programs internationally. His research interests in sport science and human behavior have afforded him the privilege of evaluating the most innovative advances in the field, while also utilizing such resources at the facility. Mark has served as an adjunct faculty member at Boston University, and continues to expand his research and publication interests while also consulting with schools, sports programs, businesses, and clinicians worldwide. Despite the wide array of interests and responsibilities, Mark\'s top priority is the success of each person who chooses to work with us at MBX Training. As such, he continues to maintain a constant presence at the facility, and finds no greater enjoyment than witnessing the accomplishments of our clientele.
